This town, with a population of 21,000, situated in the suburbs of Frankfurt, has no fewer than thirty mineral and thermal springs.

Already known  in the XVI century, these hot salt water springs, at a temperature of between 32°C and 34°C, attracted their first patients in 1702. Bad Soden am Taunus was at its peak in the XIX century, when people such as Tolstoy, Mendelson, Bartholdy and many others, came here to seek a cure. Its proximity to the Taunus mountains (just to the north) also ensures gorgeous surrounding countryside and numerous parks.
